WHAT WE DO

Your Gifts Bring Hope

In this time of war and despair it is easy to lose hope. We aim to give hope back through the help we give. Currently we do that through 3 main projects:
refugee care | aid | Trauma care

1. Refugee care – during this war We have housed over 14,000 internally displaced people (IDP) on there way to their next step. In May 2024, we closed down our last of 5 shelters, but we still house a number of long-term displaced people throughout our community. We believe caring for refugees is giving more than just a roof. We are still providing for: clothing and hygiene needs promoting health, giving purpose through work and service, life skills such as english lessons, as well as spiritual and emotional care through friendship and counseling. to promote community, Multiple times a week we also feed the displaced in our city, and helped other organizations start similar programs as well.

2. aid distribution – We have fed nearly 100,000 people since the beginning of the war. food scarcity is a pressing issue and We continue to directly provide food support for many displaced families in our community as well as providing support for hundreds more families through our network of partners. since the beginning, we have provided food support for several institutions that care for: handicapped, elderly, developmentally challenged, addicts, and prisoners. We also distribute clothing, hygiene products, medical aid, heating supplies, and other life-saving items – throughout ukraine and in our local community as well.

3. trauma care – we have members of our team trained to counsel those suffering from trauma. They are available to all who have been affected by this war. We have pastors and chaplains to offer counseling for spiritual needs. we partner with local rehab centers, as substance abuse is on the rise due to trauma. We offer fun programs for children, to counteract the experiences of trauma. we travel to formerly occupied regions and areas still under fire to offer care and encouragement, and we invite teams from Europe and the USA to join us. We have a small retreat center that as able to host trauma care retreats. We especially reach out to kids and teams of volunteers that have been serving tirelessly.

OUR MISSION : : YOUR IMPACT

Nice to meet you

I’m Joel Brown, the director of Living Water Ukraine. For over 18 years I have been serving the people of Ukraine. 11 years ago, my wife Katya and I moved to the city of Mukachevo to start a church. A Year later as areas of Ukraine fell under occupation, our far Western city found itself full of refugees, and we opened a charity. Because of our position of relative safety beyond the mountains and bordering 4 European Union countries we knew that our region would play a pivotal role in helping people. So when war looked imminent, and others left, we began to prepare. Today, we partner with organizations across Ukraine to bring help and hope.
